Exterior painting in Montreal

Painting of cornices, railings and bricks

CAM CONSTRUCTION has built a solid reputation in building maintenance, thanks in particular to its expertise in painting.

Before completely changing an element of a building, painting it is an option to consider. For example, after several years, the cornices of heritage buildings need to be corrected, since they have become unsightly: galvanized steel rust and wood slides. In addition, pieces detach from the ledges, causing water to infiltrate. Often, a simple restoration is required. Our experts install with a machine or scaffolding, depending on the complexity of the project. Then, they scratch the old paint and seal the nail and joint openings in the folds of the cornices before applying a paint of the color of your choice.

With regard to the maintenance of wrought iron railings, it should be noted that there are several ways to restore them.

Three degrees of restoration:

C+

Scratching on the surface and application of a paint, usually dark in colour to prevent rust from becoming visible again.

B+

Scrape and grind the iron before applying a protective coat of a colour of your choice.

A+

The most expensive option, but certainly the most amazing and durable. Our experts uninstall the ramps and take them to the factory to have them sanded to remove all the rust. Then they apply a baked paint, which is made from powder.

Have you ever thought about painting your brick rather than changing it completely? Painting your brick will save you thousands of dollars and completely change the appearance of your building. The process is simple: our painters apply a stain of the colour of your choice to refresh the masonry and allow it to continue to breathe.
