Privacy Policy
Last updated: November 3, 2026
At Les Entreprises Cam Construction inc. ("Cam Construction", "we"), we protect the personal information you entrust to us. In short:
- We only collect what we need to answer your request.
- We never sell your information.
- No statistics or advertising cookie is set without your consent.
- You can view, correct or have your information deleted at any time.
This policy explains, in plain terms, what information we collect through our website entreprisescam.com, why, who we share it with, how long we keep it and what your rights are. It complies with Quebec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector, as amended by "Law 25".
Person in charge of the protection of personal information
The person in charge of the protection of personal information at Cam Construction ensures this policy is followed, answers your questions and handles your requests. To reach them:
- Email: (subject: "Personal information")
- Phone: 514 253-2229
- Mail: Person in charge of the protection of personal information, Les Entreprises Cam Construction inc., 6845, rue Ney, Montréal (Québec) H1N 0C4
The information we collect
We only collect the information needed to answer what you ask of us.
What you give us in our forms
- Estimate request: name, email, phone, address and borough of the work, whether you are the owner, type and description of the work, photos or documents you attach, and how you heard about us.
- Message to your project manager: name, phone, email, address of the work, chosen project manager and your message.
- Customer service: name, email, phone, name on the contract, address of the work, contract or quote number, your message and the files you attach.
- Stop receiving our advertising: owner's name and address of the buildings concerned.
- Job application: name, email, phone, position, cover letter and resume.
- Newsletter (field at the bottom of the pages): your email address and the page where you subscribe. It is sent to our file management system, which emails you to confirm your subscription: you are only subscribed after you click to confirm.
Do not send us sensitive information (health, social insurance number, banking information) through these forms: we do not need it.
What is collected automatically
When you visit the site, our host records technical information in its logs: IP address, type of browser and device, pages requested, date and time. It is used to run the site and protect it against abuse; we do not use it to identify you.
Only with your consent, statistics and advertising cookies also collect information about your browsing (see Cookies).
Why we use it
- Prepare your estimate, contact you about it and, if you hire us, manage your file (contract, work site, billing, warranty).
- Answer your questions and service requests.
- Review your job application.
- Respect your request to stop receiving our advertising.
- Send you our newsletter or offers: if you subscribed to it, or for 6 months after an estimate request (2 years after work), as allowed by Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation. Every message includes a link to unsubscribe.
- With your consent, measure site traffic and the effect of our ads.
- Keep the site secure and meet our legal obligations.
We do not use your information for any other purpose without your consent, unless the law allows it. We make no decision about you based solely on automated processing.
Your consent
By filling out a form, you agree that we use your information for the purposes described above to answer your request. You can withdraw your consent at any time (see Your rights), unless a contract or the law requires us to keep some information.
This site is intended for adults. If you are under 14, please ask your parent or guardian to contact us.
Cookies
A cookie is a small file saved by your browser. On your first visit, a banner asks for your choice: Decline, Choose or Accept. Declining is as easy as accepting, and no statistics or advertising cookie is set before you agree. Google's tag does load when you arrive, in "consent mode": until you accept, it sets and reads no cookie and sends Google only limited technical signals, without cookies (for example the page visited, the time, your IP address and browser type). Google uses them to estimate, overall, how many requests come from our ads. If your browser sends the "Global Privacy Control" signal (do not track me), we decline everything automatically, without showing the banner, and Google's tag does not load at all.
Here is every cookie our site may set, with its duration:
Necessary (always on)
- Your cookie choice (
cam_temoins, Cam Construction): keeps your choice, its date and a random number that serves as proof of your choice without identifying you. Duration: 6 months; we then ask for your choice again. - Bot protection: checks, when you send a form, that you are not a bot.
- Information windows (
cam_fenetres, your browser's storage, not a cookie): remembers the information windows you have already seen or closed, so they are not shown to you again. Nothing is sent to us. Duration: your visit, or until you clear the site's data in your browser.
To be able to prove your consent, each choice is also recorded in our register, in Montréal: the random number of your cookie, the date, your choices and the version of the text, without your IP address or anything that identifies you.
Statistics (only with your consent)
- Google Analytics (Google;
_gaand_ga_*): tells us, in aggregate, how many people visit the site, which pages they view and where they come from. Duration: up to 2 years.
Advertising (only with your consent)
- Google Ads (Google;
_gcl_*): measures the effect of our Google ads and lets us show them to you on other sites ("remarketing"). Duration: 3 months. - Meta pixel (Facebook, Instagram;
_fbpand_fbc): does the same for our ads on Facebook and Instagram. Duration: 3 months.
Google and Meta may also set their own cookies on their domains (google.com, facebook.com), according to their rules.
You can change your choice at any time. If you withdraw your consent, we delete from our site the statistics or advertising cookies already set.
The "Manage cookies" link is also at the bottom of every page. You can also delete cookies in your browser settings and manage Google ads in My Ad Center.
Videos and map
YouTube videos on some pages only load if you click on them, in privacy-enhanced mode. The map on our Contact page is a simple image: Google Maps only opens if you click on it. YouTube's and Google's privacy rules then apply.
Who we share it with
We never sell, rent or trade your personal information. Internally, only the people who need it to do their job have access to it (for example, the project manager of your work), and they are bound to confidentiality.
We also use service providers who process information on our behalf. They may only use it for the service they provide to us and must protect it:
- Website hosting: Vercel.
- File management and email: our internal management system and our email, where your requests arrive.
- Site records and files attached to forms: Supabase, in Montréal.
- Sending form emails: Resend.
- Address suggestions in the estimate form: Google (Places). What you type in the address field is sent to it by our server, without your IP address or any cookie.
- Bot protection: Cloudflare Turnstile. It only loads when you start filling out a form, analyzes technical signals from your browser to check that you are not a bot, and is not used for advertising.
- Our Instagram posts on the home page: once a day, our server fetches our latest posts from Instagram (Meta) and keeps their thumbnails on our site. Your browser only communicates with Meta if you click a post: you then go to Instagram, under its own rules.
- Statistics and advertising: Google (Google Analytics, Google Ads), with cookieless signals before your choice (see Cookies) and cookies only with your consent; Meta (Facebook, Instagram), only with your consent.
We may also disclose information when the law requires or allows it, for example at the request of an authority.
Where your information is
The information you send us through our forms is processed in Montréal, and our records, the photos you attach to an estimate request and our file management system are hosted in Montréal. Some providers do process information outside Quebec, including in the United States, for example our host for its technical logs, the form email sending service (Resend), bot protection (Cloudflare), address suggestions (Google, without your IP address) and, only with your consent, Google and Meta. Before entrusting them with information, we make sure it is adequately protected there, as required by law.
How long we keep it
We only keep your information as long as needed for the purposes for which we collected it:
- Estimate requests and messages: the time needed to handle your request and follow up on it.
- Photos and documents attached to a form (estimate request, customer service, resume): 30 days in the site's private storage, the time needed to pass them on to the right person and add them to your file.
- Customer files (contract, billing, warranty): the period required by law, including tax laws, and the length of our warranties.
- Job applications: 2 years in our application bank, for a future job, unless you ask us to remove them sooner. If you are hired, your application goes to your employee file.
- Requests to stop receiving our advertising: as long as they apply, so we can respect them.
- Requests about your personal information: the time needed to handle them and keep proof of them.
- Register of cookie choices: 12 months.
- Technical logs: a short time, according to our host's rules.
After that, we securely destroy or anonymize it.
Security
Your information is kept in a secure environment: the site uses an encrypted connection (HTTPS), access to our systems is limited to authorized people and the people who work for us are bound to confidentiality. However, no method offers absolute security: some risk remains when information is sent over the Internet.
If a confidentiality incident presents a risk of serious injury, we promptly notify the people concerned and the Commission d'accès à l'information, as required by law.
Your rights
At any time, you can:
- view the information we hold about you;
- have corrected information that is inaccurate, incomplete or ambiguous;
- withdraw your consent or refuse that your information be used for advertising or prospecting;
- have deleted information we no longer need, or have its dissemination stopped;
- receive your information in a structured, commonly used technological format, or have it sent to a person or business you designate;
- know how we use your information and who we share it with.
To exercise any of these rights, write to the person in charge (see above). We will verify your identity before answering, and we will reply in writing within 30 days. Viewing your information is free; reasonable fees may apply for copying or sending it, and we will tell you in advance.
Complaints
If you believe your information was not handled properly, please write to our person in charge first: we will review your complaint and reply within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can contact the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec.
Changes to this policy
We update this policy when our practices change, for example when we add a feature to the site. The date of the last update is shown at the top of the page. If a change affects cookies, the banner will ask for your choice again.
